REBUILDING OF THE INDUSTRY AREALS AND ZONES - LAUNDRY FACTORY "CHRIŠTOF" IN VYŠKOV
Opatrný, Vladimír ; Pospíšil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
REBUILDING OF THE INDUSTRY AREALS AND ZONES - LAUNDRY FACTORY "CHRIŠTOF" IN VYŠKOV. The proposal was approached as to the overall redevelopment area, leaving one central building. Furthermore, it accommodated a number of new buildings for shops, offices and housing. Urban design responds to the surrounding buildings and orientation to the cardinal. Part of the area is used as a park for recreation and sports activities. Overall, this is a change from the closed obsolete and unused territory which becomes a public space for shopping, dining, living and sports.
Use of polypropylene waste particles for building thermal insulation
Baránek, Šimon ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the issue of waste economy, waste management and reuse in the field of waste plastics. The thesis summarizes information about thermal insulation materials, plastics, recycling and plastics waste management. In the experimental part, were verified the possibilities of processing of available plastic waste for produce thermal insulation material.
Technologies of reuse of wastewater in place of need
Podhrázský, Martin ; Ševčík, Jan (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
Final thesis is focusing on possibilities hidden in the potential of wastewaters in sewers. The goal of this thesis is to present technologies and experiences with water reclamation and with heat recovery systems using wastewaters as a source of heat energy. The theoretical part is divided in two main topics. The first topic is focused on bringing important knowledge and experiences with designing and operating decentralized sewer mining systems, which are, due to less favourable environmental conditions, largely applicated and developed in countries such as Australia, California, etc. The second topic is focusing on heat recovery from sewage water and possibilities of heating and cooling buildings. A possibility of using heat energy from sewage for heating and cooling a swimming pool building located in Brno, Czech Republic was assessed in the last part of this thesis. As a source of wastewater was considered a sewer main located near the pool building. Payback periods and economical effectivity of investing into wastewater heat recovery system was compared with centralized heat supply system, which is a very common source of heat energy in Czech Republic.
CARBON Visitor Center
Warta, Roman ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
Aim of the bachelor's thesis is design of a multifunctional center in the area of unused coal mine Frenštát that is situated in the land register of village Trojanovice. The object is intended to be in the center of the area and should serve as the main point for its visitors and the visitors of Beskydy in general. The center also serves for the exhibition focused on the planned black coal mining in the locality as well as on energy decarbonization and alternative energy sources.

Captived by Waste: An Ethnographic Study of the Activities Not Only Around the Bulk Container
Hájková, Zuzana ; Novotná, Hedvika (advisor) ; Zandlová, Markéta (referee)
Abctract In my diploma thesis I deal with actions that happen around bulk containers, that are intended to collect larger pieces of domestic waste and that are periodically placed in public space in Prague. I consider the bulk container as an actor, which leads us to particular practices of guarding, disposession and collecting stuff (from the container). I use method of multi-sited ethnography to investigate how the value of disposed objects change according to actions around container and according to change of the context in which it is newly placed. I identify several kinds of value, that are inscribed to wasted objects by their new owners. Waste can become valuable with regard to its economic potencial (as a thing or material that can be sold), with regard to possibility of its further practic use (as a household equipment or material), with regard to its estethic value (as an indicator of taste or as an artefact) or it can gain some specific kind of value in socially engaged context. It is possible to consider the bulk container as an actor of recyclation. I research how various groups of people that are concerned with reusing of waste, interact and how are their interactions, their relationships and their specific practices constitutive for reality of waste in surrounded area of the cotainer and...

Recyklační technologie a technická zařízení pro využití stavebních odpadů
Bělunek, Jakub
The bachelor thesis on the topic of "Recycling technology and technical equipment for the use of construction waste" deals with issues of reuse of C&D waste through the recycling process. In the first part of this thesis, the basic concepts of recycling C&D waste related to legislative regulations are explained. Other parts focus on the history of recycling C&D waste, waste classification according to The Waste Catalogue, definition of C&D waste, recycling production and also on the waste manipulation of this type of waste according to effective legislation. Attention is also paid to recycled waste materials and their possible use. Nevertheless, main part of this thesis is the presentation of technological processes and techniques used in these processes.
Reutilization of brownfields in the Czech Republic with a view to approach of the Central Bohemia Region
Müllerová, Tereza ; Geuss, Erik (advisor) ; Branžovský, Antonín (referee)
The diploma thesis evaluates an approach of the Czech Republic in the reutilization of brownfields, particularly since 2005, when the significant steps in this field were realized. Specific activities performed in this field, mainly basic documents and instruments for regeneration and reutilization of brownfields, are described and evaluated in this diploma thesis. The analytical part is concerned with the approach of the Central Bohemia Region to reutilization of brownfields. It is described in detail, which steps are taken by region in these questions. The approach of particular municipalities in region is evaluated as well. The approach of these authorities is analyzed on the basis of evaluation of questionnaires and subsequently processed by means of SWOT analysis.
